Nice slabs
Water is pretty dingy and dropping about 3" per day. Water temps in the upper 60's. Lake was pretty crowded and the wake boarders & tubers are out.
We put in at 0630, but didn't find active fish till around 0800. The fish we caught were scattered, just catch a few per location. Most were females holding between 5' & 8' deep in 10 to 12 fow. We kept 24 from 9.5" & 13" and released 10 or 12 that were legal, but skinny 9" crappie don't have much meat. Finally gave up around noon, tired & hungry.
The females all still had eggs, but most had dropped at least half their eggs. We caught fish on sliders, baby shad & hot grubs and at least 6 or 8 different color combinations. We fished beds, docks and timber. Just didn't find any real pattern that would produce more than a few fish.
I figure the spawn is wrapping up in the lower ends of the lake, but think the deeper parts of the lake should have spawning fish.
Good luck!
