Will depend on how the dam pulls water this week. Water still looked great up the grand over the weekend. It was still much clearer than normal and actually clearer than I like to fish.
The water has been chocolate milk the last couple days in most of the creek arms after all the rain we had. How long does it take to clear up again?

Yea I was by cooper creek area and sparrowfoot and I swear you could plow and plant soybean in that water.
We like that at times.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
Maybe it's just me then. I fish the white river system lakes more often and so maybe I'm a bit used to clearer water. When I say clear I'm talking "seeing your brown crawdad jig hopping along brown chunk rock in 15 ft of water" type of clear.
But I understand Truman is a bit dirtier the further west you go on the Grand, but it seemed a bit more muddy than last year at this time IIRC. I was looking for more of a stain than pure mud. Last year it was a little less muddy. But muddy is a very subjective term....muddy to me might be "clear" to you local folks. So I guess the correct question would be when would the viscosity of the mud go from SAE 50 to SAE 0 again?

Last year the water was high which will make it "clearer". Wind is what keeps it dirty on the upper end. When the lake is 15' on the flats instead of 5' the wind cant stir it up as easy. If I can see a jig down 6" I am looking for another area to fish. To me if I can see my finger tips with my hand in the water up to my wrist that is to clear/clean for how I like to fish. You may find some 2' visibility in the dam area or Pomme arms at times. But that is as clear as I have seen it.
Hopefully not til November
