Fished out of the state park last weekend. Caught a nice limit of mixed sizes from 9-14". Some males, some females. Caught them mostly in 3-5 FOW before 10:00. Moved deeper with the afternoon sun. Caught six more on Saturday just messing around with the kids in the morning. Black and chartreuse with a gold spinner. Saw some Huge fish at the cleaning tables. Keep moving, fish are quite scattered.

Sorry I didn't run across any crappie.com folks this past weekend, but I was running pretty non-stop.

Fishing at Twain was "Fair"-stayed at South Fork Resort with a bunch of other crappie fishermen/women. I got a limit of good sized fish Monday and about 3/4 of limits Sat, Sun and Tuesday. I actually did my best over a brushpile mid lake I came across and marked crappie on. Fished 8-10 feet down with alternating jigs then minnows, then repeat when they slowed down. Used slip bobbers mainly, but when I started to snag a lot I went straight down vertically with a long pole into the brush and pulled up several more deep inside the brush that way. Had a couple 13 inch fish amongst about a 50/50 mix of keepers and shorts. Crappie were starting to come in on Tuesday, but not in the part of the lake I was fishing-more down-lake than where I was. Our neighbors at SFR ended up with 5 fish shy of two limits in their boat that day. North and South Forks were muddy- didn't go up past U ramp or School-bus cove, respectively. Had trolling motor cable issue on Tuesday that hampered my maneuvering, but it ended up being an easy fix back at SFR. Didn't do any good the half-day I fished on Wed-wind was pretty bad, but my brother and partner caught a half dozen in the AM.

Thanks for the report, headed that way Sunday. It always seems that when I make plans to go it storms.
