Default Thomas Hill, Mark Twain 4/21

Hit Thomas Hill early in the morning and two of us had 2 limits of 10-12 inch fish in just over 2 hours all off of one stretch of bank about 200 yards long. The fish have been on the bank for about 2 weeks and I think this full moon the females, at least on the south end of the lake, dropped their eggs. We caught all fish on jigs and nibbles with a bobber and without from 10" to 2' deep.
Stopped at Twain on the way home and dressed our fish then launched at 107 ramp. Made a short run into North Fork and fished a couple of south facing coves. Ended up with 9 keepers all caught 2'-3' deep on jigs and nibbles under a bobber. One of the fish we kept was only 9 1/2 inches but the other 8 were 10 1/2 and over.

So I assume the daily limit is 30 if you fish two places.. never thought about that.. cool!

The daily limit is 15 on each body of water. Total possession on Thomas Hill is 60 and Twain is 30.

What do you mean by total possession 60 on Thomas Hill? 15 per person is limit at Thomas Hill and Mark Twain. Just to let you know so you don't find yourself getting checked and losing fish and a ticket but you can only keep the statewide daily limit which is 30 no matter how many different lakes you fish in the same day.

dep589, the sign at Thomas Hill says 15 fish daily and possession limit 60 so I take that as I could stay there 4 days and catch a limit each day. You're right on the state limit being 30 per day but that makes the possession limit 60. If I would have limited on Twain I would have had my 30 for the day. If I do the 4 day thing at Thomas Hill I CAN NOT fish Twain on that 4th day also because I would have my 60 fish statewide possession limit. Of course, if you are fishing private waters these limits don't apply.

fishboy69 thanks for the good report. When I have a bunch of fillets in possession I always start up the fryer and invite friends and chow down on some crappie. This way I'm good to go for the next day and can catch a limit. The biggest issue ..... I have only been close to the possession limit once in my life. So I need to get out more and when I get out catch more.
