Default Peaceful Easy Fishing LOZ 04-18-2016

Well after spending almost two grand on a transmission and muffler, I had to test out my vehicle to see how well it was pulling. Launched at Coffman about an hour before dark and ran to the back of a creek. I immediately caught two and ran further back. Slinged under cables over brush and either got a hit or caught a fish almost every cast. After dark I slipped corked minnows on the same spot and got a few more. Went further back to a shallow rip rap bank and caught quite a few pitching a slab buster. I hung a light off the side of my boat to put a glow on the water but I think it helped me see more than anything. At midnight the bite completely shut down and it was a little later than I wanted to stay anyway. It was a nice quite night...I love catching fish and being the only one on the lake...well except for my Shih Tzu hound. And the date should be the 17th I left shortly after 0000 hours.

It is better than holding on to seat due to all the boat traffic. That nite time can be soothing. Congrats thanks for posting.

Some very nice slabs there. Keep putting that transmission to the test.

No doubt, mid 80s and sunshine forecast for this weekend. It'll be ROUGH to be fishing after about 9:00 am, I'd use vacation and hit-em during the week and evenings
