Every time I've fished it there are other boats around catching too but must not be posting here. I would like to share but if the location was posted it would look like Bennet Springs on opening day.
    I fish Smithville regularly.

I've no doubt there are others who are fishing and not posting out here. (Though they're probably reading!!!)

I've enjoyed your posts. They're detailed and encouraging without giving GPS coordinates.

And (even though I'm dying to know) if I were you, I wouldn't be posting the location either! Not if it's the only brush pile that's producing.

The whole lake will be a hot spot before too long, so...they can wait. Or....people can try to find other brush piles in the same depth next to channels....or at the very least, look for the congregation of boats!

My hat's off to you. That lake is a fickle biatch. Catch 'em while you can.

Glad to see the blacks with some size. Finally!

If you're still chasing them over the next few days, I'm curious about what the cooler weather will do to them, if anything.

That may have came off wrong. It's not hard to believe your reports but it is HARD TO BELIVE I WOULD AGREE WITH JOE! We don't even agree if the boat ramp is on the left or right side!

My bad! I did take it out of context, after reading it again I hear what you said. Talked to a guy fishing there and showed me a picture of a 18" crappie he caught there earlier this winter. I need one of those! I try to fish every other day at least and will post how the bite is.
