I'm located at 4 mm on main lake. Water is still really muddy and lots of debris. Sounds like arctic front moving in this weekend.
Fishing isn't the greatest right now, but you never know about docks. Been real slow here. Good luck.
Have a trip planed for Loz this weekend strictly dock fishing. Think it will be worth going or is it just to messed up from the flood?

Ameren just reopened the gates at the dam, they are drawing the lake down to 654.0. Fishing is going to be kinda tough for awhile.

The fish you release may be a kids fish of a lifetime!
I got the weekend of the 16th open but it's not looking good for that weekend also. I will have to wait and see if any reports coming in.
I went yesterday on the lower end of the Gravois, it was pretty tough. Ended up catching two, fishing docks.
Between the high water and the weather coming this week end I think I will stay home and just wish.
I agree with you. Hopefully next weekend will look better.
I know from experience on the Big Niangua, it gets real spotty this time of the year. When the water temp starts dropping from the mid to upper 40's, downward. The best chance I have had this time of the year has been on calm sunny days. Shooting around the pontoon lifts, especially the metal ones. I always find it odd that the crappie are hanging out only a couple feet deep, and the water temp in in the 30's. I guess it warmer around those metal toons.
My favorite time of the year is shortly after Valentines day as the water temps start rising. Anywhere from Mid-Feb thru Mid-Mar has been the best time of the year for quality and qty. It's probably the easiest time of the year to catch fish well over a pound and up to 2 pounds.
