    Default MO Hunting App

Works for fishing license also. Just downloaded and made my purchase. No need to carry paper any longer.

Does anyone know if you purchase a permit for the wife or kids will it show on my app or do they need to download their own app?

They wouldn't need an app if you had their conservation number and DOB to access their permits, but if they have their own devices they could download the app. It would just be quicker if you got checked, instead of typing in their information on your device.

I had my sons information loaded on my phone for deer season for his tags. Never got checked, but I wouldn't see why it would work.

It's a great idea. As long as you can access the info such as having service and your phone decides to actually load it when you want it too. I will stick with paper

The app accesses data based on your Conservation ID# and date of birth. If you have that info you can pull up anyone's permit info within a single app. for ease of use, the app remembers the last Conservation ID# and all you have to do is enter the DOB. It would make it easier if she had the app too.

Thanks! I most likely will just have them all use their own app. There are also several ways to look it up. I know it will also take SS# and DOB. I'm sure the conservation dept. would be alble to find it even if I dropped my phone in the lake so no more paper for me!

I thought a game warden told someone last year they would not accept a phone app for a license? Has anyone heard for sure on this?

The last update added changes making the app acceptable as a physical permit. From the App information site:

    What's New

Implemented changes necessary for permits displayed in-app to be legal copies which can be carried while hunting, fishing, and trapping:
•Adding ability to notch a permit. This does not require an internet connection. A user must notch a permit before he may telecheck against that permit.
•Permits and telecheck history now save locally to device storage after refreshing the lists.
•Enabling offline access to downloaded permits and tele checks. This feature does not require an internet connection, but does require that you have previously logged in while online to download your permit and telecheck data.

I believe it started this last fall with deer season. But when it comes to hunting. There are times where you need a paper copy. Such as if you shoot a deer. And then leave it to go get a atv to pull it out. Then you are suppose to paper tag it. It's all in the regs

Still no need for s paper license just telecheck it then only need name, address, date taken and confirmation number attached correct?

    Telecheck - Fall
All deer and turkey must be checked by telephone or on the Internet. No in-person checking stations are available.

You don't need to call Telecheck immediately after taking the game. You have until 10 p.m. on the day of harvest to check your deer or turkey.

After you’ve reported to Telecheck, your deer or turkey may be processed, stored, or transported by anyone as long as it is labeled with your full name, address, date taken, and Telecheck confirmation number. You may now transport your deer or turkey out of state.

TELECHECK WITH THE MO HUNTING APP
Step 1: Select your notched permit from the list.
    Step 2: Tap “Telecheck.”
Step 3: Follow the prompts on the screen.
Telecheck will upload a confirmation number to your mobile device.
