My 1st cammping/fishing trip was to Wappello at Chanioa (?) Landing also. We camped across the cove, no tent or anything, had the time of my life. I remember that my dad rented a row boat from the marinia, when my brother and I were returning it, rowing across the cove, we got into a battle as brothers often do. The end result was boat returned but 1 paddle was about half the length of the other.... don't know how that happened.

    Hey How ya 'all doin?
Been awhile since I been on. Really busy here at work lately which cuts into my puter playtime. I mostly fish Truman and usually around Windsor Crossing. I bought a house in Windsor last year and stay down there a couple days a week ((my days off) and I work in KC. In afew more years I'll be out of this Ghetto in KC and retire to Windsor where I'll be fishin every day.

    Talk to ya Later

    Hi All,

I'm a new member to the forum, but I've been a lurker for about for about 4 or 5 months.

I'm down in the SW corner of the state in the Joplin area. I grew up in the Nevada area and used to fish the north part of Stockton a lot over by the quarry. I left the area for the military a little over 20 years ago and had to take an involuntary break from fishing for about the last 10 years. Now I've finally been able to get back into it this last summer. I pretty much stick to Stockton and Bushwhacker, but plan on hitting Truman, Table Rock and Grand more this year in addition to Stockton.

Stockton seems to be a quite a bit lower than what I remimber as a kid. So much that I feel like I'm having to learn the lake all over again. I'm always reading billr12's post to see how he is doing because I feel like crappie fishing on Stockton just isn't what it used to be.

Beagleman is one of our Stockton Regulars. He could help you out.

I fish TableRock and I'm learning it more and more. Tablerock has some big Crappie, but hard to catch limits. Barndog and I are working on improving the structure as a lot of the old trees have lost there limbs. Welcome to the board.

[QUOTE=bugman]Help us old timers out, there has been several new guys that has came aboard lately and were happy about it but it's getting pretty hard to keep all you guys straight,if you have time please provide us with a little info like where you live, fish and your fishin style for example.QUOTE]

Been following the board for a while, actually registerd back last spring but then started cat fishing more than crappie, anyway I live in Raymore just south of KC. Fish mainly truman (bucksaw and longshoal areas) also fish a couple of times a year down on Pomme. Still new to this whole crappie fishing deal so I get skunked more often than not, but hears looking forwards to some good times this spring.

My name is Travis and I am from Jeff City. My father and I travel the tournament trails all over the country but our primary lakes are loz, truman, and mark twain. We fish or have fished almost every style out there. We fish out of a Ranger Z20 with a 225 hp Mercury Pro XS. Also Run Humminbird side imaging. I do know a few of you guys and look foward to meeting the rest.

We joined last fall and have got to know a few of the guys. Have talked to Bugs a few times but look forward to the day when we meet face to face. Also all the rest of the CDC guys. We live in Springfield and have the privilege to fish a lot of the lakes. We fish Table Rock in April And May Also hit Pome in the spring Haven't fished Stockton or Truman in the spring yet. Try to make at least one trip to LOZ in March or April. Truman is our favorite lake. Usually put in at Osage Bluff and fish around Fairfield Island and down around 83 bridge. We have been fishing around Bucksaw this winter. I'm a little nervous about running up in that area too many tress in the chanels. We mainly vertical fish.Trying to fish jigs only. We will use whatever it takes to get the bite going but somedays it just dosen't happen. I believe Truman holds the biggest crappie of any of the lakes we fish. We try to make 3-4 trips a year to Lake Eufaula OK awsome crappie lake. We try to fish with Todd Huckabee at least once year. We met an okie by the name of notime out there. you will see him on the MO site whenever we post anything. He's a good guy but give him all the bs ya want he can take it. He loves to catch greencarp:D :p .With all the Truman guys we hope to run into ya soon. We will looking for the group on Loop A. We have a Red chev p/u that has Champion Boat and CDC MO decals on the back glass. We will be in a 188 Champion with 4 stroke Yamaha 150. It's red with black haul and white strip d/c. Mrs JJ usually driving. Stop by and intro yourselfs. Always willing to Shoot the breeze.Only thing cold we have is soda and water.
