Default Ice storm 2007

Here is a pic of just one tree that has lost limbs in our yard. The few minutes it took me to stand out there and take this I seen 8 or more branches fall around the house. Now that it is dark we can hear them hitting the sides and top of the house.Luckily no damage this far. We still have power for now but no cable, Bugs is stressed. Its been raining pretty hard here for the past few hours but the temp is so far holding out at 32.
This is turning into a real mess. We took a drive around town to check on some of the elderly people we know and there is severe damage everywhere, 80% of the town is without electric. Gets me out of work for tomorrow, another day with Bugs...send crown!

Thumbs up

I know Jamie is thinking another crappie bed just hit the ground.
They are nice folks Duncan I agree.
You will have to have Jamie tell ya about his room he has rented the last twelve years.
They do not come much more compassionate then the Cross's.

I,m bored so i'll tell the story, the short version...The last of the town drunks(no not Jamie) lives in our basement and has for 10 years or better. This guy..Cat as we call him..puts away at least a 30 pack of keystone every single day. After his first 3 beers he's drunk but he can sit and drink the rest of them and not get any drunker, anyway he had no place to live so he came and spent a few days with us...and now 10 years later he's still here. He talks to himself 24 hours a day and has a fear of water, the shower kind. His command post is right below our bedroom so we hear him talking to himself all night sometimes. He once got mad at Jamie for something and was down there cussing him like he was in the room with him and he called Jamie a big fat gay bugman.
Yes this is the short story, we have so many stories about this old dude we could use all the memory this computer has. You all will just have to meet him to understand the full effect.
Fuzzy you probably know him, Carl Beal ?

Strange how that works...I knew a man the same way..he would do some work for us,and I was with him the whole time...I know for a fact he wasn't drinking.....after we were done...he would slam 2-3 beers before I could finish 1...and be drunk as a skunk off them.I guess there is so much alcohol always in their system it only takes a little to put them over the edge....the rest is a maintanence dose.
Known him about 22 years and he still looks about the same-which means he was looking rough back then also

Good story. I am not surprised. The two of you have hearts of gold. Let me know when your houseguest moves out. I'll move in (lol). Hope you haven't suffered any rood damage because of the fallen tree limbs. Stay warm and tell BUGS to re-read his Crappie World magazines.:D :D

No really send CROWN , lots of it.We all ready have 2 houseguest (3 with Cat) and got 8 more coming. Power is out in the whole town and no water either so family and friends are all coming to stay here. Pray that we keep our power, drinking crown in the dark ain't much fun.
We didn't get any damage to the house but we have alot more limbs down, we are lucky, alot of people in this area were hit pretty hard
