Great Job. What time of day were you fishing. Last time I went up there it was early evening dipping trees in a similar area. And Had one tiny fish in 3 to 4 hours of fishing.
Have not crappie fished up there since maybe a week or two after Truman Spring Camp. When the water got high I said the heck with it! Been Bass fishing tourneys; not much success but lately been taking my son up because he’s really liking the bass fishing. Been catching LOTS of bass; not much size but Great numbers.
Last night I decided to dip some trees while he threw plastics at the green fish and much to my surprise about had my arm ripped off a few times. Crappie dipping tress north of W bridge (the one with the boat ramp!) . Fished 4 to 6 FOW right on the bottom, actually let jig hit bottom, lift an inch or two and hold steady. Caught maybe 6 or so and let them swim till another day and missed several. Hard to believe I could miss them with the force they were hitting with…..well maybe not????

I was up there two weeks ago 1 bass dipping trees, 1 crappie trolling.
Nice job! I dipped some trees North of W Sunday in the fog, only caught 2 keepers, threw em back. Hoping for a good fall bite.
I was there Tuesday evening around Twin Coves and only caught 1. I hope it gets better soon.
Feel the thump, hear the drag.
