Anyone been to Creve Coeur Lake with any luck lately?

Usually fish from shore! Might take the boat next spring now that I've got a 24V trolling motor.

Don't know about the fishing but they had a big Asian carp die off. Son said it really stunk. They were going around trying to keep them scooped up but it was a never ending job.

What caused the Asian carp die off?

They said lack of oxygen for them. Nothing else died. There has been several die offs on rivers too. Saw one a couple of years ago in some backwater sloughs on the Missouri. They had died when the river was up because the river had dropped down and they were way up on the banks of the backwater. Don't think that was lack of oxygen. From what I have read there are various reason for the die off. Even some enzyme from cheese making kills them. As many as there is I can't imagine there food source of plankton stuff will sustain them. I know the shad population has crashed. Very hard to find if not impossible.
