    Default Smithville is getting Larger!

But the fish aren’t. Caught 4 last night boat sitting in about 12 FOW which was maybe 6 FOW at normal pool. Casting to the bank and slow slow slow reeling which gave up 3 keepers and a short. Desperate males it looked like to me.

If you use the handicap dock you might put on a floatation device .

Water seems like it came up two feet just since Saturday and temp rose about 10 degrees. Seen between 72 and 75 surface temp.

I fished Smithville yesterday and brought home 11 crappie and 8 whites. First time I've ever trolled a crankbait for crappie. Man was that fun. Mainly worked 10 - 20' of water. Caught the whites on minnow drop rods. Of course I had to wade thru water to get my boat out at Little Platte.

No joke....I had to duck down when standing on the front deck of the boat yesterday going under the most western of the "three W bridges".
Progressive Marine Insurance SUCKS!. If you hit a submerged object they will try to prove manufacturers defect....stay away from them.

Nice job on the catch but your feet would have been soaked if you rode your bicycle to the lake. I think they can change it from bike trail to paddle boat trail.

Well I was planning on hitting the lake this Sunday. But doesn't look like that will be much of an option. I am going to do a drive by this afternoon
