I've been wanting to try crankbaits. How fast were you trolling? Great report also.

I really dont know my bow graph doesnt have gps. just enough to get the crank thumping, I have a 12 volt 55lb trolling motor 5 speed and had it on level 3 or 4 against the wind. put it on rabbit to get the bait down faster.

I have never tried a crank at loz! Good to hear a new way to catch a few. I was there the weekend of 4/24 and did ok. It was a different bite this year. We fished mainly in the gravois arm and only limited one day. It was windy as hell and they were just picking it up. Not the normal thump for this time of year! The water was rising and the temp would change 4 degrees both ways throughout the day! I think the wind really makes it hard to feel the bite when they aren't thumping that grub!
