Spent a lot of time on Pomme this weekend and things are starting to pick up. Caught several shorts on a steady bite throughout the afternoon an evenings. The action really picked up as the sun went down and the bigger females became more active. No real pattern to speak of (used minnows and threw a curly tailed grub) Most of the bigger sows we caught were 15-20 ft. off the bank in 7-13 fow. Cleaned several females and most of the egg sacks were still pretty firm. Caught several after dark! Good luck!
FISH ON!
We had good luck there rigging with minnows (rosies) in 12-17 ft. water almost to the bottom with rigs. Congrats on your catch.
