Default Truman Lake Ultimate Fish Off for Crappie Masters TV

    Crappie Master's facebook post:
"Crappie Masters TV will be filming an Ultimate Fish Off show on Truman Lake, Wednesday, June 18th. Team Everharts vs. Team Bucksaw. Weigh in will be at Everharts at 4pm with a fish fry to follow for all anglers and sponsors of the One Pole Ultimate Challenge."

Team Bucksaw will be Jeff Faulkenberry and Eric Moritz fishing against the Everhart's team of Kevin Rogers "Jigging Tournaments" and Jared Fosnow "Jigging15". Kind of a guides vs weekend/tournament anglers. Looks like we will start the day at Bucksaw for the intro and then fish for 6 hours in a undisclosed 3-4 mile stretch of Truman lake. Somewhere between Bucksaw and the 13 hwy bridges. They are going to give us a couple days notice of where we will be fishing. So I will update on here exactly where we will be fishing once I find out. Then we will have the weigh in at our store parking lot in Clinton. They will have the weigh in trailer set up with tents, tables and chairs. I hope we can have a huge turn out to show the city how big crappie fishing is in the community and how much we would like to have Clinton/Truman Lake host another national championship. Looks like from the post on Facebook that Kevin and I are the underdogs in this fish off. So hopefully everyone can make the weigh in or see us on the water to cheer us on.

Who do we root for? Sounds like to might be a close one. I might just root for both that way I might pick a winner.

I upped the life insurance and rearmed the life jacket since I was not sure if Bass Cat had seat belts. So I should be ready for the boat ride with him.

Sounds like a good time! Hope to make it out. Your not going to let Kevin drive the Ranger. I bet he would break it in for ya.

No we will be in his Bass Cat. I am really looking forward to fishing with Kevin. So much can be learned from a day in the boat with a guy with his experience. Not sure there is another team in the country with a tournament record like theirs. I just hope to catch a fish or two to help him out. If not I am pretty good at running the scales and culling fish for the livewell.

I'd be willing to bet those will be two hefty stringers, and probably just a few ounces of difference between them.

Good luck fellas! Wish I could just be a spectator. It's a good time just watching Kevin wheel that Bass Cat around! Hang on tight....what a great way to promote our sport of crappie fishing.
