Default Cold and snow in Iowa. Looking to come to Missouri this sppring.

Hello: Thinking about coming to Missouri for some Crappie fishing in the next month or so. Thinking about Truman. Never been to the area before. Looking for advice and tips. Not necessarily stuck on Truman a buddy suggested it. Just seeking some information about Missouri Crappie fishing areas. Good Luck this season. O - R

for starts, id probably focus on the grand arm and Bucksaw area in particular. rigging has been real good for the past few weeks and will continue to(weather cooperating). fish are moving into the creeks. as we get to mid to late april the fish will get real shallow as always....

btw even though my name is huskercrappie...grew up in marshalltown after leaving Nebraska, graduated from Iowa State and grew up fishing rathbun in the 70's glory days..

i think you will love truman, the habitat is off the hook, beautiful lake, really nice people in that part of the country.

Truman is quite a lake....stained water in one arm, clear in another. Cover everywhere....ledges, flats, bluffs....you name it, it's there. It can also move up and down in a hurry, but you can almost always find fish if you're persistent
