Default Tablerock 3/15/14 Bills N Slabs

We fished midnight to 4:30am for paddlefish. Only managed to get three. They weighed 60, 50, and 25 pounds. After getting in a nap, we got back out about 9:30. First, we hit the rock side of Flat Creek and caught a few little bass and one keeper crappie. We then ran over to Peach Orchard and caught several shorts off of brush piles in 20' of water. About 5, we decided to go fish the main river side of point 15. We ended up getting 10 keepers in that area and a few shorts. About 6:30, we went back in to Flat Creek and fished the rock banks again and picked up one more keeper, some more shorts, and a few scrappy kentuckies. Nothing crazy, but got enough fish to make a meal or two at least. My buddies caught a bunch of small male whites on the flat side of Flat Creek near the bridge. Not a single sow all day.

My boat was a disaster after the drive home from Tablerock yesterday. It had about an inch of nasty road slash stuck to it. I brought it to work with me today so I can run it through the car wash after work. Hopefully the above freezing temps and sun will melt most of that crud off by later.

Whoo hoo. That's does look like fun. Love those blacks.
Hopin' the spoon billin' dies down a bit this weekend so I can long line the main channels without havin' to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge as Patches O'Houlihan used to say.

I wish I wasn't so far away. I'd love to come back down and chase whites and crappie again. Looks like next week is calling for highs in the upper 40's most of the week so I'm not sure what that will do to the bite. I'm sure it won't help it none. I'll be fishing somewhere regardless though. May try and hit LoZ once on the Osage arm for some snagging and then hit the Glaize arm for some crappie and green carp.
