    Default I know i know

that this is all about crappie fishin but i have been seeing some bruiser bucks in this last week and was wondering what you fellas are seeing and what your opinions are on the antler restriction that the conservation came up with a few years ago, myself i think it is already making a difference cause we are seeing alot bigger bucks than normal around here, its not just me that is seeing em everyone that i talk to is seeing bruisers.I was working at 11 am yesterday and a 140 class buck walked across an open field and stood in a fence row,i watched him for 10 min or so and he was definatly like ole beagle man in rut big time he had his nose down and worked a scrape then i was doing a foundation at a different spot and just before dark another big buck walked across an open field with his nose to the ground so if anyone is wanting to stick an arrow in a big buck now would be the time.

i think the antler restriction is a great thing. the young fawns taste a whole heck of a lot better also. those massive bucks make you proud to show people your kill, but you end up with a bunch of summer sausage becuase that's about all that meat is good for. same reason i won't kill a 5-10 lb. bass.

The antler restrictions are a good thing. Like you said Bugman, lots of bigger bucks. I hunt up North and there is no antler restriction where I hunt. Seeing way too many does and way too few bucks. Going up tomorrow to put up my stand, and do some glassing. I need to come down and hunt in the campground. Plenty of deer in the park.

The bucks are in full blown rut on our lease Bugs.I have trail cameras out all over and have acouple of pics of a nice 145-150 8 point but have yet to see him while on stand. He will screw up before its over i hope.
I also think the restriction is a great idea BUUUUUT then they came out with the tele-check system thats just begging for unchecked bucks and poaching in my opinion.Lots of folks process thier own deer these days and its just tooooooooo tempting for those that are nonlaw abideing to not check thier deer.Or at least i think so.
