    Default stockton 11/2 - 11/3

Tough weekend of fishing for us. Saturday we had to fish west side of main lake because of the wind, fished brush from 16 to 35 feet with little success. Only had 4 keepers and a hand full of shorts. Sunday took the brother in law with us, ended the day with 11 keepers and caught a good number of shorts. Tried to stay out of the wind, fished the little sac arm from 14 - 37 feet. Caught a lot of nice bluegill Saturday in the brush on jigs. Did have 2 bucks swim across the pocket we were in, they were chasing 2 does all over the hillside. The does ran to the other side of the cove and the bucks were trying to cut them off. Let us get really close to the bigger buck, didn't care, only had one thing on his mind. Good luck to everyone.

Mark- Fished the Stockton Tournament Saturday. Wind was a killer for us but managed to catch several fish. There was only 3 boats in the tournament. We finished second but not sure how the rules are dealt out. The winning boat had 3 fishing out of it and not sure how that is supposed to work but at any rate, the fishing was slower than it had been. Like I said we still caught several fish but nothing over a pound was weighed in. I think the cold front really effected the fish over the weekend but it should get back to normal again. Not sure I'll fish another tourney unless the boats only have two fishermen per boat. At least that is what I call a level playing field.

I dont know what I did wrong Rick, Allen and I have caught the tar out of them since mid august. It had been 2 weeks since my last trip, I figured we could get on a pattern and do alright. Tried deep, shallow, mid depths, and when you would get bit is wasnt aggressive at all. I hear you on the tourney, need to make rules and stick to them, everyone, that what rules are for. It is supposed to be for fun, but anytime money is involved you need a even playing field for everyone. I dont think Allen and I will probably fish any of them this year, nothing anyone said or did, just not going to fish them. We are still going to fish regularly, just how we want to when we want with no time constrant. We enjoyed the visits and if you are interested competing with a good bunch of guys than you should give it a try. It is a beautiful lake with great fishing, it is harder to go back to kansas everytime, I sure miss the lake.

been having the same trouble Mark, started out real well then kinda hit a tough spot, my main problem is the wind I don't like it and the fish seem to know it, give me a fit, but hey I will keep after them and see what I can figure out, ain't gonna give up on this brush dippin, been tempted to go back to my ole style of open water slow trollin but hey I can wait a bit longer.......... i don't fish tournaments,

Since the rules have been brought up in the post I will address the issue. The rules have been that you can have as many people in the boat as legally allowed. This has been the rule from day one and has been going on for the last three years of which no one has ever said anything until now. This was put in place to get more guys involved.

No big deal! Just kinda funny when everyone has a boat that was in your boat. Maybe we should use a Pontoon and load it up with fishermen and.... never mind.!@#$
