    Hi Ted

Yeah I sent these guys an e-mail, followed up with a phone call. No one ever got back to me on it. Guess they sold it or something.

I may call them again today or just wait until the holiday stuff is over.

I sure liked the looks of that boat though. I remember fishing in the Florida gulf in a boat similar to that. Really easy to get around in and very stable.

I'll let you know what happens to that. Hopefully I'll have one by the spring so we can all hook up some weekend for a fish.

Duane you got any thoughts on that?
If this is the type of boat you want I think it is a great boat but it depends on what kind of money you want to spend - you can get other boats without as big a motor and have just as much boat for less money - it all depends on what you want - if that motor is in good shape that is more than likely a average price - that is whole lotta motor
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!

I was wondering about the motor to. I guess you need a good size motor to push that size boat accross the water.

I really don't need a lot of horsepower but it's nice to get off the lake in a hurry should some weather sneak up on you.

I like the center console boats and will keep looking around till I find something that make sense for me.

Thanks for your thoughts on that.

My carolina skiff is a 19 footer and 80 inches wide - I have a 90 hp 4 stroke johnson and it will scoot about 40 mph - 90 hp is plenty for my boat - on the Carolina skiff they don't reccomend over 115 hp

I to like the center console boats. After see some of them setup for crappie fishing, but it is way to much boat for me. We would like to buy a pontoon boat some day to go along with the small bass boat we have.

Pontoons make good Party/play type boat that also make good crappie fishing boats. I know several guys that have them and do very well fishing from them.

You know on lake Wappapello and Clearwater lake there seem to be more party boats in the marinas than there are other kinds of boats. They certainly are popular. I've never considered one because it's just my wife and I and we don't party too much. lol.

I do see some people hauling the party boats to the ramp but it seems that's a big rig to haul around with you when you only want to sneak a few hours of fishing in during the day. It would make more sense to me to keep it in a slip I think.

That boat in Kentucky is 22'. Not sure that I need that much boat as well. Certainly 200 hp is more than I really need. I'll keep looking and am sure something suitable will come along.

All the best to you and your family for the holidays Duane. We've got a bunch of snow on the ground. With the temps as low as they are, it's going to be a white Christmas here.

You might think about going to the St. Louis Sport and Boat Show in Febuary to look at all the boats at one time.

Merry Christmas and the Best of New Year to you and your family from all us at the Nevels household.

I wish they would do away with alot of the party boats on all Missouri lakes. Between them and those darn water fleas, swarming around ya can sure be a pain in the butt. LOZ is a good example of a good lake gone bad.

Duane you goin to the KC show? I am hoping to go Friday should be less of a crowd there and at cabelas.

I will think about it. I can always get my wife to go to KC because we like going to the Jazz clubs in the old 18th & Vine area. I got tickets to the Blue Room last February 14. In turn got to shop all day at Cabelas rather than having a time limit.

    Default water fleas

I've got the answer for the water flea problem, pick a windy day to fish beside one, hook a fish, forget about running the trolling motor, and bamo pin that sucker up against the dock with your boat. I wonder how good of a crappie bed a jet ski would make?? :D
