Alligators would have a tough time surviving even in south Missouri. We've had quite a few released in the KC area and found them dead from the cold in even mild winters.

I've been telling folks that the MDC released a special "northern sub-species" of alligator that will survive colder winters in an attempt to control the feral hog population on the Pomme River arm of Truman Lake. Reckon I should stop.

LOL I can hear the rumors already.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

It's all part of the vast conspiracy against us. "They" put them our streams to discourage hunting and fishing.
