    Default Stockton Lake pretty Windy,but

The fish bit a little, caught them rascals in 12 ft of water out side of brush, pitch let drift down, watch line stop, set hook, enjoy the fight, put in cooler...... repeat,,,,,,
jig color was rootbeer/chartruse,slabbuster, or glow chartruse mid south, one when the sun was out,the other when it was cloudy,,,,,,, guess. the weather man missed the wind forecast, they said 4 to 6 from the south at 10 last night, it was 10 to 15 at 11 AM. Name: 002.jpg

Size: 52.3 KB good day all in all, did see one neat thing, I tossed a short crappie over the side, and one of them big ole blue herons swooped down to get it, but it missed, after a bit I caught another short one and tossed it over and a big ole swoosh and pop big ole eagle came from Hell I don't know the sky somewhere and he did not miss, scared the bejebbis out of me, I mean right next to the boat, hope he enjoys the brown stained fish for supper.

Excellent, I'm taking a break to try and get a doe in the freeze but will definitely get back out to Stockton soon. Heck it will be more peaceful there anyhow for awhile still since duck season opens late there compared to Truman

great day, Beagle! you must be releasing a lot of fish if the birds are following you around! or maybe someone around here has taken up falconry and is playing games with ya?

Great job Mike, last winter I was waiting on Allen to show up and was fishing a brush pile over in the cedar ridge area and was catching crappie then they stopped and couldnt get a bite at all, the next thing I knew a big loon popped up about 2 feet to my side and scared the crap out of me and him. I was looking at the extended for cast for my next trip in 2 weekends and looks like alot of wind for the near future. I was curious what the fork next to the sink full of fish was for, a new cleaning technique or just cant wait to eat them.

Michael...wish I could have been witness to both the eagle swooping and you pooping. Would have been one for the books, for sure. Glad you got out and got after em. I'm thinking I'd have had about the same reaction as you if that had happened to me.
