    Haven't been fishing since memorial weekend so it was nice to get out. Couldn't find to many fish but ended up with a limit. It was slow and far and few between. Best bite seemed to be in 8 to 9 feet of water. Found my best fish in cedar trees. I'm kind of wishing it was cook your brain hot. Usually July is my best month but the cooler weather has them tight lipped for some reason. Plenty of bait though so the crappies should be getting fat. Thanks.
    New goal 16" crappie by December 30

    Way to hang in there and get your limit. It seemed like a good day to be off work and fish. Did you try any minnows?

    That's about as deep of water we like to fish this time of year, and even shallower. Thanks for the report.

    Yes tipped my jig with minnow every cast.
