I have a lowe 180 stinger with 115 and love it. I live 5 minutes from a ramp on stockton so p.m me and feel free to take a look. Im a big man and its very stable. Beagle man is also a big man and both of us can fish side by side up front with no problem.
    Fish like your hungry!

I have a lund explorer 18' most comfortable boat I've fished out of. I fished in Champs, Rangers, Bass Cats, Startos, and probably a few others wouldn't trade mine for stabilty or ease of fishing, I fish 2 people out of the front almost always it works great. Bass boats you are always having to get stuff out of storage lockers and put things in storage lockers sit on the ground knees in your chin, after that you gotta get back up, & they only seat 3. I bought a 96 Bass Cat last year thought I would like it better had it for about 3 months hated it the whole time, had never sold my Lund so got rid of the Bass Cat. The Lund can fish in 18" of water no problem, I dropped it on a boat ramp once at Melvern in winter just dented the bottom a little, never leaked a drop. The only thing I'd do differently is I would max out my H.P on the motor I got a 115 I should of went 150. I'm not a Lund spokesman but I wouldn't buy another brand, tough as they come just my 2 cents

Thanks so much for all the thoughtful replies!

Well, to add to the confusion I looked at other boats today. Found a used 2004 Triton 17' bass boat with 40-hp engine. Like it but...

Looked at Lund rebel 1650 deep-V and a Crestliner V-17 semi v as well as a 1860 Crestliner and a 1650 Crestliner. I liked the V-17 best of all BUT I am partially disabled and think I may fall from the deck of the V-17. The 1860 is a beast but not comfortable sitting in it.

It is looking more and more that the choice has been made for me with my disability. I was actually shocked of how unstable I felt in the bass boat as I haven't been in a boat for quite a while - I just wasn't expecting it.

The deep-v is going to be one of the only boats I am going to feel safe in. Now I have to find (haven't found one yet) a G3 164c to look at to compare with the Lund. They end up being THE EXACT SAME PRICE except the Lund has a 60 HP Mercury and the G3 has the 70 Yamaha - which I prefer. The only 2 things I disliked about the Lund was that the windshield would be almost worthless as it is too low and the seats offer no support for lower back; they give way to much. Other than that it is one fine boat.

So now it looks like the choice for me has become G3 164C or Lund Rebel 1650. I hate to rule out that Crestliner V-17 as it really is a nice boat! No G3 dealer around stocks this 164c boat.
