    Default LOZ report 7/11

Water temp 86 today. Went out Tuesday morning and hit some docks at 19.5 MM area off of main channel. Fish were 8-12 down suspended in shady slips behind cruisers, pontoons.

Bite was good with a limit in 90 minutes or so. Size was only okay with 4 of them above 11". Rest were in 9-10 range. Used a red/chart buster without a nibble (I forgot I was out) on a 1/32 lead head.

I plan on trying again tomorrow morning. Good luck everyone.

Sounds like you have them figured out. Are you casting in and reeling back with a slow retrieve.

Went this morning and had the same story today almost to a T. Only difference today was they were a bit deeper ... 14 ft. or so. I'm guessing the warmth this week sent them a bit deeper than they were on Tuesday. I also noticed that the bite really dropped off as of 10 a.m.

And LSL, I'm strictly vertical jigging while standing on the dock. My most productive spot was in 30 FOW around the slip and floats of a cruiser lift.

    Good luck to all.
