congrats on some fine fishin.
Three days...three limits x 2 (LOVE fishing with my son!!!) The bite has finally turned on as the weather has finally settled. Fishing from the bank with a minnow. We have caught a few from 6:00-7:30 PM, but the bite gets VERY good as the sun gets below the horizon. Catching a lot of fish in the 10"-12" range with a few 15"+ sows to make the cleaning a little extra special. I have fished this area for 25 years and it has always produced...probably the main reason for not pulling the trigger on buying a boat...and the bite is 2-3 weeks later than it has been the last 3-4 years, but this weather has been crazy this year. Should be fun fishing for the next several weeks as the bite will get even better as the water warms more. May have to take some time away from the lake and crank up the fryer and enjoy the bounty! Good luck and happy fishing...
congrats on some fine fishin.
Good report. A few 15" + sounds extra good. Looks like the Corps is releasing lots of water with the lake level going down.
congrats on the catch sounds like a really good time.
Welcome to the board, and thanks for the great report.
FISH ON......... inspired by river monsters around the globe.......
Thanks for the reported and nice job!! Headed down this Thursday!! Hope to do as well!!
Musky Bob...it is amazing how much the water level has gone down in one week. I have heard that alot of limits are being caught down below the damn as well.
Goose22....I would guess there is a lot of current below the dam as I see where they are releasing 3500 cubic feet per second. Well, that's what the Corp's report is.

I assume the crappie haven't spawned yet. Hope the water level begins to stable about 2 feet above normal pool. Oh well, at least the water didn't get as high as it has in the past.
Thanks again for your report. I'm anxious to see if I can find one of those 15" crappie. WTG.
they will wait till they lay them eggs. and then they will drop it three to four feet . you can bet on it about ever year
They won't drop the water on the eggs at Pomme. They do a wonderful job of holding the lake a few feet high at the right time.
Can You Find, "LIMITVILLE!!!" :D
