Default A typical weekend on the Grand. Hurricans, friends, morons, super large fish.

    a. When you take a semi moronic friend fishing and he asked about his uncle going along and you mention there is a 60% chance of rain (turned out to be three hours of hard rain)... don't leave the drive way until you KNOW they have rain gear.

Helping said uncle catch his first Crappie, worth it.

    d. When you get a day alone, cherish it. I love my alone time. Foggy this morning and beautiful all the same. Ran into Richard and clients, OnebadChamp, and others... started on Hay, that sucked. Bumper boats. Went past the pwr lines... tucked in a northern cove... HOGS HOGS HOGS. Bagged a limit that went 18 pounds and 9 oz. Big girl went 1#12oz.

Hearing a newly hatched Eagle chick hollering for it's lunch was nice.

Enjoy life, my fishing Brothers and Sisters, it comes with a LTO clause.

Thanks for the report KC Brown. I know about the rain gear check. Even when the weather man says sunny.

Forgot to address the morons. You all will get to know me, I'm pretty outspoken.

You know when you are launching at Bucksaw, there is a counterclockwise movement of boats/trucks.

Well, I get ready to take out, I walk up the ramp, there is a Tracker and Triton tin boat sitting where most park to "put their crap together" before leaving the lot. I get in my truck in the right lot, drive around, do the circle, back half way down the ramp... and hear a dude spouting off about getting in line. I'm not sure what he's talking about... there is a boat I passed in the "get ready" area... they are still preparing their stuff to launch, I will not be in their way.

So, I have my boat on trailer, right... well this Tracker and Triton come down the ramp... OH!!... they thought they were in line. I try to apologize saying that most people use the circle to "get ready", he was well up the drive, almost to the road to the marina... I REALLY THOUGHT HE WAS TAKING OUT... who is trying to launch and that far from the ramp? Anyway... he spouts off.... "It's better if all you are out of my way!!!"

I tell him he's #1 via sign language and go on my way.

    a. If you are trying to launch, and outside of your truck... you are NOT ready to launch. GET IN YOUR TRUCK, BACK DOWN TO THE TOP OF THE RAMP.... BE READY FOR THE NEXT SPOT.

No doubt, the change in 24 hours was drastic... enjoyable, but drastic. Hate to admit it, but that was my furthest up the Grand today. I really need a "explore" day.

Remember you can't fix stupid. We usually find that the bigger the boat the bigger the stupid. It is like they are entitled because they have a bigger more expensive boat and vehicle.

X2 and when they pull the boat just out of the water on the ramp and spend 15 minutes or longer wiping and walking around the boat numerous times looking for something that they never find..............and they KNOW there are other people waiting to load or unload.......
