Default my new bait. what yall think

Well this winter i`ve really took notice for how big the shad were in the crappie stomachs. 10 inch crappie had shad up to 3.5 inches and the 12 and up fish had shad up to 4.5. It seemed the bigger the bait the better we did. So I went BIG this one is 3.5 inches.
In the last couple years I've really tried to fish baits that matched the current size of the shad. I fish 3/4 -1 3/4 baits in the spring...... the summer I would move up to 2-2.5 inch baits and now in the winter I can use 2.5 -3.5 inchers
A tip I try to give people is instead of trying different colors ,try different shapes as well.
I think in summer time a paddle tail is king, where spring tubes and fall and winter stinger tail seems to out produce.

In our government-controlled schools we are taught that Lincoln was our greatest president because his war ended slavery and saved the Union. As usual, the other side of the story – the side that reflects poorly on the government – somehow gets lost. – Richard J. Maybury, The Abe Lincoln Hoax

Man that looks like an awesome bait!! I'm with you on bigger baits, especially in the fall/winter. I used a 3" carrot these last two falls and was really impressed with how well they produced. Never seen any with the eyes, tho, but I'm betting they can only add to the attraction.
