It's hot down here!!!!!!

Hi to all and just wanted to let you know I have been keeping up with the forum, sad news and such. Wanted to let all know that it is so hot down here in Texas, the crappie are cooked when you get them to the boat. You don't even need to pack a lunch....just something cold to drink and a few slices of bread. Catch a fish, pull the skin and scales off in one piece, flake the meat onto a piece of bread and there ya go.
Sure wish I could make the October get together, but leaving here around the 25th of October and heading back to Florida for the winter. Hope to be back up there next summer/fall.

It aint been much better around here Dusty the weather has been unrelenting around here,dry and hot.It is too bad you wont be able to make it in oct it will be a blast you should try to leave texas a couple weeks early and stop by on your way to florida.You must be part gypsy i dont think i could handle moving so much.

Part gypsy true, too many miles on truck, true. Wishing I could be there, true. Might be there next year....if this becomes an annual thing, true. Taking the time to get there this year, cant do it since this contract ends and the other in Florida starts so close together. Got to go where the wind blows. When the wind dies down enough to fish, stop for a while, but still moving, seeing and fishing a lot of different places. Sure wished I could have got in the boat with Izzy, we missed a couple of times, either my fault or his, and vowed to do it one day. We will too, just may take a few years.
Will for sure let you guys know when we get back in that area. May get a few together for a weekend somewhere. Really would like to do that.
