Had good luck with every trolling motor i've ever owned Duane, knock on wood. I'm not familiar with the Laser series, is that the wireless ones. If so, i have'nt had any experience with them. Motor guide makes he best trolling motor though. That'll get em going hehe...izzy

You can purchase a brand new, fully warrantied, 12V 46# on a 360 mount with foot control for $325. That motor isn't recent, so I doubt you would have any warranty. Personally, I don't like wireless - they simply aren't reliable, IMO. The autopilot feature, variable speed, battery maximizer technology, etc. are great to have - wireless NO, again just my opinion. So .. I don't think this is a very good deal at all - at least for you.

Even if you wanted wireless - you can pick one up on sale for about $400-$425.

This is not wireless but it is not the cable type either. It has an 18 foot cord.
