Good luck, save the big ones for Saturday. Your wife will be thinking about all the jewelry she can buy with the money you want to spend on a silly fish locator.

LSL your probly right---- heck i mite not need fish finder after all... I went out of the shawnee ramp to the left. Fish coves up to south buck creek then i went to the other side... I only fish what i could see on my old worn out fish finder.... I caught some where around 30 fish... Lots of 9 1/2 but a few in the 11 inche range and one 12 1/2. It was a catch and release day for me.. Most were 10 to 12 ft down.. some were over 30 ft of water and other were in 15 ft.. I sure wish i had a camera with me (one on cell phone dosn't work) cause i was a motor boating along and almost in the middle of the lake was a deer swimiing for her life to get to the other side..It was a site to watch..

I saw a deer walk down a ramp and swim dang near a eighth a mile once while out one day. I have heard that they do that when they are sick. I cant remember with what disease though and good report i was out this foggy morning myself.

Well that deer was up on that island when i first saw it.... Then i heard a big splash and saw it swiming out into the main part of the lake... After a bit i went out there and watch it for a while then went on acroos the lake... I feel it didn't make it and become fish bait

I've seen deer swim the missouri and mississippi river a few times. even fawns are very strong swimmers. they have no problems on water.
Hope ya get that new fishfinder for X-mas!

I was going through the cut between island and main land when i saw it. Fishing those first few docks on left when i heard it jump in
