    Default Light bite

Got out this morning for a few hours. Fishing was still slow. Lots of small fish spider rigging in 6-12' of water. Started dipping beds and brush piles and caught a few keepers. Missed a lot of fish because of a real light bite. Here is a pic of a little one that wanted in the boat pretty bad. He ate the jig and got it wedged in his mouth. I don't know if I am that good because I don't even have to hook them or if that is a sign of how bad I am because I can't hook them. Was a prefect morning and got to shoot the breeze with Kaz on my way down river and then ran into JJ on the flat and talked for a while. Traded some new baits he wanted me to try for some jig heads I wanted him to try. Then ran into CrappieThumper his wife and kids and her parents in a creek and talked a little bit. Also seen Lenny and Ed somewhere along the way. So was a very fun morning even with the slow fishing.

Sounds like a good time to me .... I like the looks of that jig. Is it some experimental, top secret, prototype he makes up himself ?
I have not yet begun to procrastinate .....

Must have missed ya. We were up above for awhile and down below for awhile. Thought I saw JJ out. Sounds like you had a good time, that's what matters

It's a 3" Mid-South Silver Glitter and Chartruse tube on a 1/8 oz Rainy Day Jig head with a 1/0 sickle. The Mid South Silver Glitter is a great bait. We have been doing well on their Red Glitter and Chartruse tubes also.

I never got below the power lines. Maybe I should have as the fishing was slow on the upper end.
