Default Got the home lake back.

I have been really busy cutting in the fall food plots for the whitetails and it has put a strain on my free time. Went out to Lake O (big naingua) and hit docks and the action was fast. Nothing was really big in fact the biggest was just 11". We had two limits in pretty short order once we waded through a lot of 8.5 inchers and most were white crappie. I used a 1/16 oz with a white and chartreuse crappie slider. I was pretty impressed with the action on these little things and think I will start using them pretty regularly. We tipped with a silver nibbler for a little better hook set but it wasn't really necessary. Water depth was 9ft to 5ft was the best bite for us. Craziest thing of the day was not seeing one boat that belonged on the ocean. Probably been a month with out a good fishing trip so I was due. Gave the fish to my cousin so no evidence on this day will post pics next time.

It is great to get the lake back. I hadnt seen one bass boat come threw my cove in months and I have seen tons in the last week. Sounds like yall had a productive day.

Sounds like a good outing to me. Congrats on the catch and hope it stays this way for a while.

I think we are going to get some rain friday and it will help or hurt. Only one way to find out. Good luck and catch a bunch.

Thanks Keefer. I've got them eating my winter wheat thats just barely popped so I'm thinking this will be a good year for plots. I haven't seen a ton of acorns so hopefully I can keep em coming in.
