Default Crappie seminars at KC Cabelas

Charlie Bunting will be at Cabelas this weekend the 18th and 19th giving seminars at 11am each day. If you have not been to one of his seminars it is worth the time for sure. He and his son Travis fish the Crappie Masters circuit and have one several big tournaments. He is one of the best on LOZ. May try and make it up myself.

Sure going to try. I had a good time meeting everyone up there after the tournament. You have a great bunch of guys up there on Smithville. Was good seeing some of you all again at Spring camp. Need to find me another ringer for a partner. Dexter was a pretty good guide last time I was up there. He sure put us on some big fish. I never dreamed we would have over 8 lbs and win big fish with one over a lb and a half with all the talk of dinkville. It is a great lake and I sure like all that hedge above W bridge.

That seems to be the only lake in Missouri I can catch good fish on a consistent basis, I sure can't do it on Truman. Not yet anyways. Jusy holler when you're ready Jared.

Sounds good. Wish I could make it this weekend. I still want to get you out and do some rigging. If we could ever get some rain to cover back up some of the tree rows we will hav to do it. Everything I marked last year with low water levels that I wanted to rig this summer are all stickining out of the water again. So they have all have been getting dipped. Maybe next year they will stay under so I will have them to my self rigging. Maybe by fall camp we can use enough water to get out.

Took in the seminar today... Well worth the time and the drive. Charlie explained and demonstrated his tourney techniques (pushing jigs & live bait, tight lining, slip floating and pushing cranks) and answered everyone's questions about adapting them to recreational fishing. He was aware that not many will spider rig through timber (he carries 50 pre-tied swivel/leader, bait hook and dropper jig rigs rolled up). Took the time to take an individual to find a particular type of bobber stop and showed several others how to interpret side imaging "shadows". Seminar ran a full hour and he spend another half hour with individuals who had more questions. If you missed it today, try to make it tomorrow.
