Thanks Joe and Trevor. Great to see everyone. Wish I would have won that rod to replace mine that is now in the bottom of the lake
(39°30'6.77"N - 94°30'31.63"W). Sorry Bill... What does a person say to someone that fished in a $30 tournament and ends up costing him thousands?
Very nice of the guys to donate items and it was good fishing with you Rodney. Tough day of fishing for sure.
Looks like a great time! Congrats to all.
OCFTD. Love it. I am the same way. Could not get all the color combos I wanted so started tying and now can't quit. I Buy everything new that comes out and give it a try. Then end up going back to the basics that I always used. Works out for my buddies kids as I end up cleaning out the boat and tying room and bagging the unused stuff up for them.
How far is it from the boat ramp you use for these tournaments to the W bridge ramp we used last time I fished the tournament up there?
I like the W ramp better, but there is a pavilion at crowes creek that works out better for weigh in and eating. Plenty of picnic tables. The extra mile or so is worth it. It's usually not as crowded as W also.
Having a pavilion is nice for sure. We sure enjoy the one at Bucksaw we use for our Truman tournaments when it is raining or hot and sunny. I was just wondering by water how far of a run it was. I sure liked the looks of the area above W bridge that Dexter took me to two years ago in the Smithville tournament. They sure liked the hackle jigs that day. We caught a lot of fish offhand and marabou jigs in blk/yellow and blk/chart with pony head or belly spinners.
Congrats to everyone that fished the tournament, look likes a fun time and a decent day to fish.
Sorry about the bad luck man.
