Watkins Mill

Hey All.

I pulled my boat off smithville today to prep it for my Wisconsin trip next week. I was supposed to work tomorrow and this PM as well as all week and wasn't going to have time to go get it, etc.

Now it looks like I may not work tomorrow.....I'm in a pretty good place with the boat and have never fished Watkins Mill. I thought about running up there really quick tomorrow for a couple hours just for giggles.

How's the fishing up there these days? Is it worth the bother?

I've seen some pictures on here a while back from someone who night fished there several months ago. Watkins Mill was where I thought it was- around Kearney, MO. I checked the web site out for there, but the information about the lake itself is not very helpful. Can you fish with a big motor on your boat? The information I saw implied you can't even have a big motor on your boat, even with it not running. I hope I'm wrong, since that is a lake I would like to visit some time myself.

Larger motors are definitely allowed, just at idle speed. There's another thread on that.

Alas, I now have to work tomorrow and can't go. Damn it!!
