Still biting on Pomme

If you can stand the heat and the competition, you can catch crappie on Pomme. Second Saturday in a row that we brought home a mess, 23 last Saturday & 22 this morning. If I could only find a fishing partner who could catch their limit. I threw back a dozen or more legal fish this morning and brought home a limit of 10" to 12" fish.

The water is down and clear enough that you can find the stumps now, although Pomme still is up almost a foot. We started out catching fish in the 8 to 10 foot range, but the last 6 or 8 came at 12'. We had the stumps to our selves for the first hour, but had 4 other boats around us when we left around 9:00.

I've been awfully worried about the crappie on Pomme lately and figured the water around Bolivar landing would probably be almost to the boiling point by now ...... Been too way too hot to take the wife and had a lot on my plate lately but I would love to do a fishing trip with you some time. Just pm me if you would like to make it happen. BJ

Thanks for the report, plan on being there myself tomorrow. The hotter the temperature the better the fishing on Pomme.

I've never fished there but it sure looks like a nice bunch of fish
