Default First Smithville Holiday Weekend Report

Got out early Saturday and off the water by 10:30. Three trailers when I launched and WOW the ZOO was arriving as I left.

Catching was slow at first and didn’t find a shallow bite so moved out a little deeper and started catching some. 5 to 7 fow on jigs. No limit but caught 8 solid keepers and threw back some 9 inchers; lost a NICE one. Also caught a wisker fish.

You're one brave soul to go fishing at SV today or tomorrow. :D
    Nice catch anyway.

Sounds like some good planning ..... Get in... get some fish .... and get out before the Chaos hits. A man after my own heart.
I have not yet begun to procrastinate .....

Sounds like a good morning Bill .. great job! I went with a buddy of mine and we ended up with 2 limits, but it took awhile .. on the water at 6:00 and off at 12:00. I completely understand what you guys were talking about with the CHAOS!!! Absolutely crazy after about 11:00 or so.

Not trying to hijack a thread or anything, but does anybody happen to know who wears the red hockey mask looking face protection while driving their boat?
