Truman 4.20.12 (Cooper Creek)
Fought the wind and headed up Cooper Creek this morning, and after missing the entrance to the creek (it's been a few years,) we finally got into the actual channel and started the day. Tried the deeper water, the banks, beside stickups, off the most boring banks around, and the fish were scattered at best. We had a couple small runs, but ended up keeping five (2 were North of 12") but decided the hassle of cleaning 5 fish outweighed our enthusiasm, so they got relocated and will live to swim another day. Little spooky in a small boat with chop like that, in an area that looks very different from what i remembered, but we did make it back home safely. Probably not too far off, a couple of the fish were right on the waterline, the others were bunched up around the deeper holes in the creek channel. May give it another shot on Monday, we'll see what the weekend brings.
