    Default rods for spider rigs

banghead going to buy three rods to rig with, everharts only had 11' rods left when i stoped in on thursday so, outlaw rods i like they seem to have lots of backbone to them but since i am a new to this should i start with 10' or what????? i know some of you guys have been doing this for quite a while and hopefully this will save me some mistakes.. thanks to you all

12' minimum not that you can't catch fish on a ten or shorter. I like 12's for Truman but would use longer rods of fishing a clearer lake. 14' seems to be a good medium if fishing several lakes. Everharts should be getting some of the 12' Outlaws pretty quick from what Steve said. You can get a three rod discount of buying from Grizzy jig. That is on almost any brand of rod they have. The Capps and Coleman or Pro Staff rods will save you some money over Outlaw or Ozark trolling rods.

I just bought 12' B'n'M Capps and Coleman rods. I used the B'n'M Pro Staff trolling rods the last couple years. Both are great rods. The C&C's are a little more sensitive than the PST's.
