    Ran into him in the fish bowl this morning before we hit a nearby creek in the Grand to start rigging. Was good to meet you and your buddy this morning. Wish the fishing was better for your first trip. Should be great in another month if it takes that long. The rigging bite is getting started.

    Thank you so much to all of guys for reaching out and helping. Within 22 hours or so of posting this, I hit a lake I had never fished before and had 3 CDC member phone numbers in my pocket and all kinds of reports and advice. We ended up putting in at Sparrowfoot and did OK. I got to see the fish bowl for the first time (I see where it get's the name) and caught a few in there. We tried a few other bluffs/semi-bluffs close to there and a cove or two, but didn't have much luck. We ended up with 8 keepers between us, but had a blast. I met Jared/Jigging15 and jsiles? (please forgive me I get that wrong) and both were a pleasure to meet and very helpful.
    Crappie_Express .. you're not kidding! If anyone is ever in that area and doesn't know it, please be careful and take it easy. I can easily see where that could be very dangerous, very quick.
    Anyway, thanks again to all of you guys .. I know the Smithville guys are great, but the last two days has shown me you Truman guys are every bit as helpful.

    Glad you had a good time. Sure liked your buddies boat and was good to meet both of you. It sure did not prove its self yesterday. But it is a great lake and even has some fish in it. It was tough in us also. We ended up with 10-12 fish rigging in there and in the creek close to the ramp. We will have to get you back down here before camp for some great fishing in March and April.
