Now now Jack. You know us Smithville guys and gals are loyal to our hometown lake. And, just because someone made fun of your batman speedo when you were fishing at Smithville doesn't mean you have to hold a grudge against the lake.

THAT was pretty funny Alex, and Dave, I don't have all the money in the world. Hence why I only go to Truman 'bout once or twice a month. HOWEVER even if I was broke, I'd walk to Truman before Shortville.

I fished sailboat cove yesterday in the kayak and also drew a blank, the closest I came to a fish was all the dead shad floating around.

Hey Alex,I was out there and caught maybe 10 with 6 keepers. This lake is resting, lot of food for fish, get ready, she is going to get good.Shad kills are good for fattening up the brood.I was totally in tune with
the weather. So glad to be able to fish this time of year!!
