    Default Pflueger President Reel

I've read quite a bit on CDC for opinions on different reels. I've been using a US Reel spinning reel and don't like it .. I've gone through two of them in less than a year and the retrieve gets pretty rough after just a few outings. I'm really leaning toward a Plueger President .. any reason that's a bad idea?

I've got 8 of the presidents models, various ultra lite series, all have stainless bearings and are good reels. You won't be disappointed.

I have not used them but seems like every other reel I see in a boat at camp is a Pflueger. That is a pretty good clue they are well liked. I don't cast any more. I use the Quantum Optix in a ten series on all my rods except my dipping rods. If bought in bulk I was getting them for $15. Hard to beat for that price. Some one will chime in on here with a review. Bugman and Beagle are two guys that I am pretty sure use them.

I bought my first pflueger 10 years ago with some expense money while working out of town cause i didnt need a hotel. I have not looked back since best reel my opinion. I fish atleast 250 days a year and I get about 4 years of good use out of the presidents. trions are also decent reel for the price.

I just bought one last Monday. Haven't fished it yet but like the feel of it.

I saw the other day that the Pflueger President's were on sale online at Cabelas......I believe they were at $39, regular price was $59. I don't remember which models were on sale at that price, but I believe it was the 6920. Some of the other models were on sale for $49, regular price $59. Not sure if they are still on sale, but they were 2 or 3 days ago.
