I bought mine as a combo and love the rod also, it is a im-8 light that works great for shooting docks. Found it at sports authority years back in clearance, what a great buy.
Thanks for all of the opinions .. I really appreciate it. Sounds like everyone pretty much loves them, so I'll be buying one soon .. maybe at that Cabela's sale. Thanks again guys!
Seem to be a very popular choice. I have a friend that likes his. I'm sure you will enjoy the president.
To late to change your mind as you have had bad luck, but I have been fishing 4 US REEL 180's and 1 230 for the last year and a half and have loved them.
I have three of them and love the smoooth reeling and the drag is the best. Will not go wrong buying them.
In my opinion the 6925 is a fantastic reel that has served me well. I have 5 and have never had a problem with them. I did try two 6920's and both failed within a couple months. Lucky for me Bass Pro took them back and gave me 6925's to replace them.
I have several and love them. The drag systems are great. The 6725 is perfect for crappie. I like the 6730 for white bass and walleye.

I forgot to mention that I have caught several wipers in the 5-10 lb class on both the 6725 and 6730. That is why I can testify to the quality of the drag systems on these reels.
