Thanks Joe. I've been called far worse things than a "sponge", but not by better people.

As for the lack of bites, I'm going to blame the wind, then the water temp, then personal ineptness on my part. Nonetheless I'll be trying like heck to do better than last week and biting my tongue any time a song leaps to mind based on the current conditions.

If you two do better than he and I did, I'm blaming it on water temperature. Just saying!!

[QUOTE=skeeterxs170;1680779 but when a guy pulls up and ties to the tree I'm fishing and tells me he seen that it was a good spot on CDC it gets a little irritating. It really takes some nerve to be that inconsiderate![/QUOTE]

Post what kind of boat he was in and we may have to try that stunt to him. He might think twice after he has 20 oyhers tie up at his spots a time or two.

    Keep the info coming.

    Thanks!

Nothin' wrong with being a sponge! I'm a sponge too. Or try to be. Lots of stuff to learn and lots of great guys who know a lot more than I do. Heck, practically everything I know about crappie fishing has been from reading this board or fishing with people I met from this board!

Kinda what it's all about, IMO.

That is really too bad on the moocher. I haven't been out in a few weeks, but plan on getting out this weekend. My primer bulb took a #$%^ on me the last time out and I kept loosing prime. Happened about 5 years ago, so I have to put a new one on Friday once I get back in town.. but then it is game on!!

Thanks for all the reports guys.

Ditto, a pretty good group of folks willing to help others to be better at what they are doing.

I'm not going to post what color or kind of boat. I'm not one to start anything, but I'm sure he reads each and every post on Smithville and may get the idea!

Thats too bad, this is about the only forum I'll ever post exact spots/conditions/colors,etc....ended up meeting far more people that I would consider a friend than jerks.Hit my usual spot today and did well, had a few other people show up and told them come join the fun,we were all catching limits of 10-13 inchers, enough to get picky near the end. What may work today could be a bust tomorrow,so I don't worry about it,but it is dissapointing that someone would actually tie up to the tree you were fishing....like you said-do a hole shot and a few donuts and hit the other 999 hot spots.
