Well, I haven't seen many for sure......maybe a couple over the last 40+ years.......Always being told about a buddy of someone's who catches up to 18 inch crappie out of here but, never see them or a photo........Also have been told alot at the ramp at the end of the day about the 5 lb walleye in the livewell, when , after a look at them they are usually under 3 lbs. Fish have a tendency to look bigger when they are lifted from their watery world....... the main thing is to remember that if it wasn't fun, we wouldn't do it............imagination is healthy......right?
And, there has only been one 14.5 incher brought into my boat this year and I am out there nearly every day.........Good Fishin'..................................
    Let's go Fishin'

A 15in fish is a rare thing on loz as well but we do have a few, there were 4 caught in my boat last year and only one so far this year.I hear all the urban legends of limits of 14-17 in fish but i like Jr's take on it.......

Would like to tell you a story (true believe it or not ) Some service attendant in Sedalia was making fun of my motor on my boat, I paid no attention to him, but as I was done he said he had a spot that should be good and showed me ( didn't want to ) but I thought, no since in getting Ignorant, I looked and that was it. Left and went to Sterett Creek , was pre fishing for a bass tourney. Two days later some guy is yelling at me and asking me if I caught anything, looked up and it's the service station attendant and he says look in the live well, so being curious I looked. There were 10 fish in there ALL CRAPPIE and I'd say they were at least 17" each ( no I didn't measure ) but I have seen 15" crappie and these fish would dwarf them. If I was to guess I'd say they went 3lbs each. Guess I should have paid more attention to him ( NA ) didn't like his att. So the point behind this story is There is larger crappie in Truman, and Stockton, we just don't run into them very often. This happened in early 80's, haven't seen anything like that since, except in Grenada,Ms.
