Wife and I went out tonight about 4:30 and stayed til around 8.
We fished east of the bridge near CB, in the trees about 20 feet of water and behind the island in about 19 ft. Also in the trees near the south bank and clear boating route to the east W bridge. We caught about 15 or so. 4 keepers, but nothing over 10.5. Virtually all the decent action happened with minnows reasonably deep with a slow presentation.
They are letting quite a bit of water out now and the front moving through this AM might have had some affect on the bite. With minnows, they either gently tapped it or swallowed it and took off. There didn't appear to be any middle ground.
Best of luck to you all. Hope to see you out there.
Bruce
Thanks for the report. I hope to get out there this weekend.
Feel the thump, hear the drag.
