Well, we reached the mid-point of our trip. The rain hasn't been bad, but the wind has been a @^*!#$!! We lost quite a bit of time on the water because of it, but we made up the time playing cards and drinking beer. It's been good so far.
Haven't really cleaned up on the walleye. Been such a cold spring that they haven't really transitioned to the flats yet, but there's a few out there already. We have 18 so far.
Crappie are pre-spawn and with the weather being so messed up and irregular, they haven't really done anything but been scattered. But when you get into 'em, they're nice. This one went just over 12".
The only bad thing about this picture is the crappie covers the KC Chiefs arrowhead logo!!
Here's a typical walleye. Went 18" Biggest so far is 22". Forgot to take a picture on the water, so this is just before we put it to the knife outside the cleaning station.
Take care, all!

Stay after them Joe!!!!
May all your live wells be full.Dave
Good luck and be safe! Fishing may improve if you try another sweatshirt. The fish have heard about the lockout.
Too bad you're away right now, here tell at Smithville you have to hide behind a tree while tying on your lure for fear of the crappie attacking like schools of hungry sharks. Great state that thar Minnie-soat-ah, spent a lot of time ther last decade. They often check your vehicle at the Iowa line for beer and if you don't have any they will escort you to get some. Have a great trip Joe.
Stay after em Joe.....nice fish.
