Wakins mill ?

Going to try to make it to watkins mill on thursday. Looking for any advice. I'm taking my two man boat over there but I've never fished that lake before. Mainly just bank fish at smithville so looking for a helpful hint or two out of a boat.

Lots of small crappie, but no length limit. Please clean 30! I need them thinned out! Any point will yield fish. The point due south of the boat ramp and along that steep bank to the fishing dock near the dam holds lots of fish. That would be the west bank from the boat ramp to the dam.

Maybe we should have a Crappie.com Watkins Mill day? No tournament or anything like that ... just meet up there one Saturday/Sunday, get a chance to meet each other and everyone keep 30 ... might help a little bit.

That might be a pretty funny sight, billd....a bunch of boats lined up fishing that bank. Rofl

I don't know how many boats it would take to raise the level of that lake a few inches...not many, I would think.

You can catch them on most of the banks. I'm all for a massive harvest out there. Have at it!
